Hey guys! Connor Mugaas Official here! Welcome to the first ever Tailsonic the Fox information document (TTFID)!

This document will be public, along with another short document on how I do my sketches for Tailsonic projects. (You're probably reading this when it was uploaded)

So, if you haven't heard of any recent Tailsonic developments, I will explain them in a tl;dr version here. This includes:

Things from my Tailsonic Monday Reddit posts
Things from the Project Tailsonic Site (where you got this document)
Things from my YouTube channel (@Connor Mugaas Official // Project Tailsonic)

Anyway, onto the things you should know.

#1: Tailsonic Monday Week #1

This post gives at least 15 facts about Project Tailsonic. Again, I will try my best to shorten them.

1. Tailsonic the Fox's Story gamemode won't be added in the V1.0 update.

Since this post was made about 3 months ago (at time of writing this), a few things have changed.

I am planning on adding Story Mode in V1.1, since V1.0 is going to be the start of all the coding.

However, if it does change to V1.0, I will let you guys know ahead of time on my socials.

2. Since Project Tailsonic's full release (more on that in a future document) is in 2023, V1.0 won't come out until then.

Obviously, this was changed because of a request from my friend Jason, another Project Tailsonic member, to change the release date from 2023 to 2024.

So, the unfinished/unplayable build will be released next year, but the playable build will be released in 2024.

3. I have started work on 2 mods for the game, including Time Travel, and The Crossover.

This is still true, but I recently started 2 new mods; Developer Edition, and Musical Rhythm. Musical Rhythm is the new version of Vs. Tailsonic, a mod that got halted because of genre reasons with the main game the mod was for.

4. TTF is not a Sonic fangame, although it uses sprites from SEGA's 16-bit Sonic games.

This is still true, and I have chosen to appropiately credit SEGA for the sprites, as shown on my website's Credits page.

However, not all sprites are SEGA's. Tailsonic and Metabot's idle animations were made by me using a program called Pixilart, which I use to make sprites and animations.

I also use another web-browser program called JSPaint. All of Tailsonic's sprites (Even the ones in the old Google Drive ZIP) were made using JSPaint.

5. Tailsonic was inspired by the Sonic series, and DDLC.

This is also still true, except the only things from the main game that relate to DDLC are the design for Monica the Fox, and The Crossover's Literature Club Zone.

6. (This one mentions both the project and the game) Tailsonic the Fox won't just be developed by me, but also other members, including Jason Roby (mentioned in #2), Tommy Newsom, Alex P, and anyone else who would like to take part in the project.

This is true, and recently, my new friend Reese from my Math class joined the project. (may be leading on to a new spoiler which I haven't publicly uncovered yet, Well, except Tailsonic teaches Math, which will be mentioned in a later document.)

7. Tailsonic will have a later appearance in an FNF Mod: FNF: Vs. Tailsonic.

As mentioned above, this was halted for genre reasons with FNF. However, it is turning into a Tailsonic the Fox mod of its own, as also mentioned above.

8. (might get confusing) Tailsonic's 16-bit and 3-D designs are different in color.

This is also true, but why I want Tailsonic to have different color designs, I'll explain...

Transitioning Tailsonic's current 16-bit design to complete 3-Dimentions would look like a lot of coloring because of how many colors he has, so I made his 3-D design have dark blue fur, and black and white shoes.

9. Tailsonic originally started as an OC

This is still true, and will always be true, since you can't really change the past. [What if someone invents a working time machine a while after this document gets uploaded? Who knows!]

10. The game will have similar update schedules to Minecraft's updates.

This is technically true, However, I honestly don't know when Mojang/Microsoft releases new updates to Minecraft if I had to tell by exact date. But to be honest, Minecraft is a fun game. [NOT PROMOTING IT IN ANY WAY]

11. The main game's deadline is in 2026.

This is also true, but it depends on how you put it. If you're talking about the main game's launch deadline, it's 2024. But if you're talking about the game entirely, INCLUDING the project, it'd be 2026.

12. Crossover Mode will include Sonic characters (THE Sonic characters. The main cast.)

This is still in its early stage of development, since I am still planning on asking SEGA to borrow sprites EVEN THOUGH I already credited them, but also asking them what I should include for Sonic and his friends' dialogue.

13. Tailsonic and CMO's last name are Foxel, making CMO Tailsonic's brother.

This has been confirmed on my Instagram, even though that EXACT thing was also mentioned in the post.

14. The game will include references to other games.

This is somewhat still true, except I want to keep most stuff more family-friendly for the game.

However, all other-game references will be included in a new menu for the game, known as the Extras menu.

Also, if you didn't notice, I do also include references to jingles and tunes in my music on Online Sequencer, and because of how many references I've made in total, I made a whole zone theme concept with references. Though, if you'd like to listen to it, you might wanna mute the 808 Bass keys, since those are only there to explain the reference.

15. The game will include chapters as the timeline (This includes MAJOR spoilers, so if you don't want spoilers, I would recommend you skip this part.)

This is also true, and here is how they are supposed to go.

Chapter 1 is the introduction to the main story, and its characters, as well as introducing Zen Hill.

Chapter 2 includes the rest of the introduction, and the part where CMO gets captured by Fiercebot. [Major Spoiler]

Chapter 3 has Tailsonic and his friends going to save CMO.

I hope that was enough information for you guys right now. But if you still want more info, The first thing, if you haven't already, is check out the document on how I do my sketches for Tailsonic projects. After that, you'll probably have to wait until the start of next year for the second information document. Until next time!
